Mango Michelada

When you’re craving twist on your Bloody Mary, look no further than this delicious Mango Michelada recipe using your favorite Demitri’s seasoning. Hailing originally from Mexico, this mango cocktail combines the sweat juice flavors of your favorite fruit and pairs them deliciously with the kick of Bloody Mary seasonings. Mango Michelada

Ingredients

Kosher salt or other coarse
salt for rimming glass (optional)3 tablespoons chopped fresh ripe mango
2 teaspoons sugar
1 tablespoon Demitri’s Classic, Chipotle Habanero or Chilies & Peppers
Bloody Mary Seasoning
2 to 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice, depending on taste
1 (12-ounce) bottle Mexican lager beer
Garnish: fresh lime wedge

Preparation

    Rim a tall or large glass with salt, and set aside.

    In a cocktail shaker, press the chopped fruit and sugar together with a muddler to release the juice. Fill the shaker with ice and add the Demitri’s seasoning and lime juice. Cap and shake. Add three-quarters of the beer then pour the drink into the salt-rimmed glass. Garnish with lime. Serve extra beer on the side.

    Note: Substitute fresh ripe pineapple for mango for a tasty variation.
