7 BEST WINTER COCKTAILS TO STAY WARM

7 BEST WINTER COCKTAILS TO STAY WARM

The winter season reminds us of a lot of things: long cold nights, the turning of leaves, holiday shopping, and spending time with loved ones.

But none of that is why we love winter. For us, the colder temperatures mean we finally get to return to some of our favorite cocktails that we haven’t touched in nine months. After all, to get you through the chilly days and snowy nights, you’ll need a stiff cocktail.

Here are our 7 picks of the best cocktail recipes to take the chill off this winter.

7 Winter Cocktail Recipes to Stay Warm

  1. Boulevardier

This classic drink is the perfect cocktail to bring some warmth (and buzz) to your cold evenings. First things first; combine sweet bourbon, sweet vermouth, Campari, and ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake it for about 30 seconds.

Voila! Be sure to serve it with an orange peel for some added pizzazz.

  1. Classic Bloody Mary

For Taco Tuesdays (and any other day of the week), this cocktail is the perfect companion for you. To get started, combine 2 dashes of Demitri’s Classic, vodka, tomato juice, and lemon juice.

Rim your favorite glass with pepper, Demitri’s Bacon Rimshot, and sea salt. You can opt to garnish it with smoked salmon, candy bacon, or celery stock (or almost anything else, for that matter).

  1. Chipotle Apple Cider Margarita

If you’re looking to sip on something spicy while you wrap holiday presents, this recipe is your best bet.

Combine fresh orange juice, lemon juice, light agave nectar, tequila, hot apple cider, and our Demitri’s Margarita Mix into a glass. Top it off with nutmeg or cinnamon for a final, nutty, touch.

  1. Sonoma Sage & Maple Toddy

A steaming toddy is the perfect drink to have in hand as you count down to the new year (and pray for a better year in general).

To prepare this unique hot toddy recipe, pour hot water into a cup and add 5 sage leaves. Let that steep for 5 minutes, then mix with Sonoma Bourbon, maple syrup, and fresh lemon juice.

  1. Mango and Black Pepper Gin & Tonic

It’s the same gin and tonic you’re already used to…this time, with a little oomph! To whip up this drink, pour tonic water into a glass with gin and ice. Garnish it with a mango slice, a sprig of mint and generous grind of pepper.

  1. Peppermint Bark Mimosas

For us, getting into the holiday spirit involves testing out different spirits. For peppermint bark in drink form, try out this flavorful recipe

Get started by pouring melted chocolate in one plate and crushed candy on another. Grab a glass and dip the rim first into the chocolate plate and then into the crushed candy plate, creating the ultimate holiday rim.

Pour peppermint schnapps into the glass and top it with a prosecco or champagne. Bonus points if you serve it with a full candy cane.

  1. Warm Winter Margarita

Like the name suggests, this drink is a must-try for the winter chills. To prepare this special cocktail, combine cinnamon and apple juice into a pot and let it boil. Set the pot down and allow it simmer for 5 minutes before adding sugar, tequila, dried fruit and Demitri’s Margarita Mix. Serve warm!
