Easter is here, and it’s time to put on your hosting hat (or bunny ears). If there’s ever a holiday to go all out for, it’s Easter brunch! Now isn’t the time for basic (cough, cough boring) menus and Easter brunch drinks. We’re sorry, mimosas: Orange juice is out, and tomato juice is IN. Keep reading for simple ways to make Bloody Marys the star of your celebrations.
Why Easter is for Bloody Marys
With all the jelly beans and Reese’s Eggs on deck for the day, it’s nice to mix up the flavor profile of your beverages. Bloodys are refreshingly savory with a balanced blend of spices—and our award-winning Demitri’s Bloody Mary recipe has some serious oomph! And, let’s be real, there’s only so much you can do with OJ and sparkling wine. A champagne flute certainly can’t handle an outrageous roundup of garnish, now can it?
How to set up a Bloody Mary brunch bar
Your Easter Bloody Marys are the easiest part of your menu. And no matter what you’re serving for small bites and mains, Bloodys will complement them egg-cellently. From frittatas and savory tarts to cinnamon buns and scones, you really can’t go wrong with a Bloody Mary on the side.
If you love to host, get ready for Easter and beyond with a Demitri’s kit. Demitri’s Gift Box is for classic Bloody Mary lovers (and it makes a great host gift to keep in your back pocket). If you like to mix and match your flavors, then it’s time to meet our faves in the Meet Demitri’s Kit. It has all four flavors of Bloody Mary Seasonings (Classic, Extra Horseradish, Chilies & Peppers, and Chipotle Habanero), plus two varieties of Rimshot Rim Salt and extra goodies. Now, if you want to get the party started, go for the Demitri’s Bloody Mary Party Kit to make Bloodys for Easter and margs for happy hour the next day. It has three full-size bottles of Bloody Mary Seasonings, three types of Rim Salt, Organic and 38-Calorie Margarita Mixes, garnish options, and more.
To set up your brunch station, you’ll need tomato juice, your Seasoning(s), and some high-quality liquor options (vodka, tequila, and gin all make for incredible Bloody variations). Make sure to have plenty of ice ready! Demitri’s Seasonings are excellent to prepare in large batches, but we love giving guests the chance to DIY their own Bloody. Pour the mixture into your glass and pick your garnish.
-
Squeeze a lime wedge on top and enjoy!
The finishing touches: Garnish
Your guests are dressed to the nines, and your drinks should do the same. You can keep it classic with celery, olives, and carrot sticks (save the leftovers for the Easter Bunny). Or you can level up with meat and veggie skewers, sliders, and heck, why not throw some Peeps on there? Check out our comprehensive guide to garnishes that do the most.
Happy brunching to all and happy Easter to all who celebrate! As always, we’d love to see how you’re using Demitri’s in your celebrations. Tag us on Instagram @demitrisbloodymary!
