Let’s get one thing straight: Bloody Mary’s elevate the common brunch. Gooey French toast and fluffy eggs are staples, but spirited sips and bold flavor are the real reason people set their alarms after a night out to make their brunch reservation.
A good Bloody Mary makes a quintessential brunch. Any brunch menu worth its Maldon sea salt will have fun, inventive drinks that both shine on their own and complement those mouth-watering food items. And while mimosas or Bellinis are classic brunch additions, they don’t have the wow factor of an over-the-top Bloody Mary.
From Instagrammable Bloody Marys that look like meals on their own to simple Bloodys that go booze-free and let the quality of the drink speak for itself, there is no brunch without Bloodys. But the only thing worse than a Bloody-less brunch? A bad Bloody Mary!
The typical Bloody Mary mixes are often watery, inconsistent, bitter, and full of unnecessary additives. That’s where Demitri’s steps in. Demitri started as a bartender himself—one who was frustrated with the inconsistency of his prized in-house scratch recipe. After more than a year of experimenting, he perfected a Bloody Mary Seasoning that’s as easy to use for people at home as it is for bartenders.
If your favorite brunch establishment doesn't already have a Bloody Mary on the menu, introduce them to Demitri’s! And if you do have one, we know Demitri’s will blow that old mix out of the water.
And the great part? As a bartender, professionally or at home, you don’t have to completely reinvent the wheel. If your bartenders like crafting one Bloody Mary at a time, awesome. If they want to make large batches to beat the Sunday crowd, Demitri’s is made for that, too. (We recommend the second option: Thirsty brunch goers are not people you want to keep waiting.)
Here’s our quick and easy bulk recipe for restaurants.
Serves 8. To batch one quart, add 2-3 ounces of Demitri’s Bloody Mary Seasonings to one quart of tomato juice, and 1.5 to 2 ounces of vodka per drink—or go low or no alcohol and leave the booze out altogether!
Ingredients
- Limes, cut into wedges
- 32 ounces tomato juice
-
2-3 ounces Demitri’s Classic Bloody Mary Seasoning
- 12-16 ounces quality vodka
- Ice
Demitri’s Original Rimshot Rim Salt for garnish
Directions
- Moisten one half of the rim of all your glasses with a lime wedge, then press each into a saucer of Demitri’s Rimshot. Half-rims or “smiles” that go down the side of the glass are nice because someone can get a sip with or without salt.
- Combine Demitri’s Bloody Mary Seasoning with tomato juice, vodka, and ice in an extra-large pitcher. Use a spoon to gently combine all the ingredients.
- Pour a serving into each glass.
- Squeeze lime on top and garnish for the picture-perfect Bloody Mary.
